Distribution Solutions Projects Oil and Gas participated in OSEA 2016 in Singapore; one of the largest Oil & Gas trade fair in Asia. Established as the region’s most well attended Oil and Gas event, OSEA has continuously attracted a high quality attendance every two years and it is the occasion for us to meet our Asian customers and prospects.
From November 29 to December 2, the team of Projects Oil and Gas showcased our extensive product offer and increased brand awareness in the market. OSEA was also a great opportunity to explain to potential prospects our role as a global steel supplier in the O&G market, but also build and strengthen our bonds with existing customers and gain market intelligence.
“The OSEA 2016 exhibition reflected the challenging situation in the current oil & gas market for South East Asia. Most regional steel suppliers and mills did not participate in this biennial event. The visitors’ volume has also significantly thinned down as compared to 2014.” explains Wong Loong Wai, Business Development Manager (Projects Oil and Gas – Asia). Wong Loong Wai continues: “On the positive note, ArcelorMittal is consistently present and we have seen a steady stream of our existing customers (local and overseas) visiting our booth.”
André Roosendaal, CEO of Energy Projects also visited the show and met up with various customers and suppliers. “Despite the fact that the O&G market is going through very difficult times, it is still important to demonstrate our presence and commitment for now and in the future here in Asia. I have appreciated again to be in direct touch with a number of our close customers and suppliers, and understand their current sentiment, future drivers and potential upcoming projects”.
In conjunction with the exhibition, conferences were also organised by industry and research leaders to feature new product demonstrations, launches and solutions.
