Networking with the Steel in Construction community

On October 5, the Flat, Long and Distribution divisions of ArcelorMittal joined the French community of Steel in construction at the ConstruirAcier association awards ceremony in Paris.

ConstruirAcier organises yearly three competitions to the best steel projects. The Trophée Eiffel awards an existing and creative building in France, totally or partially made with steel.  The Défi Culture Acier and the Concours Acier 2016 awarded projects and designs based on the respective themes of the “creative box” (“tout s’emboîte”) and the transportation through cable car solutions as a modern and green technology complementary with existing means.

The 2016 awards ceremony took place in Paris on October 5.  More than 450 people attended, with many architects and students in architecture and design, but also representatives of the whole construction value chain such as system manufacturers, steelwork companies and contractors.

ArcelorMittal Europe – Flat products was present with Steel Envelope, a landmark book and a dedicated website which gives architects, designers and specifiers a chance to touch and feel ArcelorMittal’s construction products.

Long Products division welcomed its customers and promoted its products through successful projects such as Tour D2 that was awarded the first Eiffel Trophy in 2015.

For Distribution Solutions France, this was an opportunity to promote its proximity network, in particular its expertise in Long products processing activity for metallic construction.
