ArcelorMittal at The Big 5 in Dubai

ArcelorMittal participated in The Big 5, the largest and most respected construction exhibition in the Middle East & North Africa, Central and South-East Asia which took place in Dubai from 26 to 29 November.

With thousands of infrastructure and building projects going on or planned for the coming years, Dubai is probably the most active area in the world as far as construction projects are concerned. Skyrocketing towers, unique and creative shapes, islands, canals and bridges, all these projects require very diverse and high-performing technologies.

ArcelorMittal, leader of the steel industry, with its worldwide presence and world-class research, can offer an unrivalled range of steels technologies to the most ambitious and landmark projects.

On stand Z1 B130, ArcelorMittal introduced its most innovative solutions from ArcelorMittal Europe – Flat Products and ArcelorMittal Europe – Long Products. ArcelorMittal Projects Middle East showcased the potential to reduce project costs by using wider steel sheet piles (AZ 750 and AZ 800), in addition to rental options for temporary shoring applications. We also displayed a retaining structure using the wide sheet piles to emphasize the difference from the competition.

Among the flat products that were presented we can mention:

• Magnelis^®, an innovative metallic coating that offers protection in the harshest environments, perfect for solar structures
• Jetskin^®, a breakthrough alternative to electrogalvanised flat steel. It provides a smooth and homogeneous coating, particularly adapted to appliances and teletronics applications
• Granite^® Silky Shine, new pre-painted steel for facade systems with a high-gloss luxurious skin that enhances the visibility and impact value of buildings
• Relia^®, the steel solution for all vehicles and engines which require abrasion and fatigue resistance as well as optimised weight

ArcelorMittal Europe – Long Products highlighted its  extended offer  in structural shapes up to heavy sections, merchant bars and Histar^® quality steel.

ArcelorMittal Kryviy Rih also attended the event, promoting rebars, billets and wire rods produced in Ukraine. They also promoted their reinforcement steel bars which are now locally available in Dubai after being approved by Dubai Municipality, Dubai Central Laboratory (DCL), CARES and ISO.
