ArcelorMittal participated to the DAB Kongress conferences organised in Berlin, Germany on 14 and 15 November 2018.
Around the theme “How do we build in the future?”, several presentations led by architects and engineering companies focused on construction topics, such as the cradle-to-cradle approach, smart office building, etc, while focusing on different construction materials, such as steel, concrete, wood, brick and glass.
On 15 November, Professor Olivier Vassart, Executive Director of ArcelorMittal Global R&D and Professor Manfred Grohmann, Management, Bollinger + Grohmann Ingenieure held a "tandem talk" on the topic “Building new thinking: Steligence® - smart innovation with steel”.
Steligence® is a radical new concept for the use of steel in construction, which will facilitate the next generation of high performance buildings and construction techniques and create a more sustainable life-cycle for buildings.
The Steligence® concept is enabled by the latest development in steel solutions, such as building columns, castellated beams, composite slim-floor beams, additive floors, architectural panels, profile claddings, cassette systems, and many others.
