Lemvigh Müller, the largest wholesaler of steel, metals and technical equipment in Denmark, with a Polish branch for prefabrication of reinforcing steel in Świnoujście, has been working together with ArcelorMittal for several years now.
Lemvigh Müller uses ArcelorMittal steel, supplied by its Bars & Rods mill in Warsaw, to make reinforcement of concrete working platforms for on- and offshore wind energy farms.
For example, ArcelorMittal’s rebars (concrete reinforcement bars) are used to manufacture foundations and platforms for wind turbines.
Since 2022, ArcelorMittal rebars are also available as XCarb® recycled and renewably produced. The related EPD is an addition to the already strong sustainability credentials of these rebar products. It certifies a global warming potential of 300 kg CO2 per tonne of steel of finished steel, which is far below the average carbon footprint of the rebars available on the market.
