Landmark 81 will become Vietnam’s tallest building once complete in early 2019. This 81-storey residential structure, built with our HISTAR® 460 sections, will also be a notable achievement for ArcelorMittal as for the first time we were the sole steel supplier of all the sections in a high-rise.
Construction has begun on the first commercial-scale bioethanol plant in Europe to use waste gases from steelmaking as a feedstock. The plant at ArcelorMittal Gent will provide up to 80 million litres of bioethanol annually and demonstrate that flue gases from the blast furnace can be turned into a valuable resource. As well as bioethanol, the plant will also generate heat and energy which will be reused within the plant.
Vegetal exterior walls, or “green walls”, are a great way to bring nature to the facade of buildings and give them a unique look. French company Tracer, pioneer of vertical gardens in France is a regular customer of ArcelorMittal Downstream Solutions and uses Magnelis®, a flagship product of ArcelorMittal Europe – Flat Products to build the metal frame of the green walls.
