Pyrolytic cavity of oven (with integrated rack guides)

Important specification
  • Enamelling ability
  • Thermal stability
  • High formability
Recommendation

Pyrolytic cavities with integrated rack guides require steels with excellent enamelling and stamping properties, but also thermal behavior adapted to pyrolitic cycles.

Depending on your enamelling process, several of our best-in-class products can be used. Solfer®+ is suitable for the manufacture of complex parts (medium to deep drawing) and is compatible with absolutly all existing enamelling processes and enamel types. This grade offers excellent resistance to "fish scale" defects. Moreover, its unique thermal stability makes it the best compromise for pyrolytic cavities that are submitted periodically to high temperature cycles.

Among cold rolled steels for conventional enamelling, DC06EK or DC07EK are also adapted for the stamping of the rack guides and present an intermediate thermal stability in between standard DC04EK (worse) and Solfer® grades (best).

Ready-to-Enamel is a surface functionalization that can be specified on all grades for enamelling, which significantly improves the formability for difficult parts and also allows to eliminate degreasing operation before enamelling.
