ArcelorMittal at World Architecture Festival

Between 28 and 30 November, ArcelorMittal participated to the World Architecture Festival, in Amsterdam, Netherlands. A great opportunity for our company to showcase our products and solutions dedicated to construction and to promote our Steligence^® concept.

World Architecture Festival is where the international architecture community meets to celebrate, learn, exchange and be inspired. Panel discussions, talks, as well as presentations revolving around architecture and design will take place between 28 and 30 November and the event will end with the Awards Gala Dinner, held at the Beurs van Berlage where different awards were presented.

Steligence^® in the spotlight

ArcelorMittal introduced Steligence^®, a new science-based tool to choose, from a holistic view, the best materials for sustainable and intelligent construction.

Steligence^® considers buildings as integrated, almost ‘living’ entities, embedded in the urban environment. In this context, it suggests that broader and more transparent collaboration between architects, engineers and property developers is called for, to resolve the apparently competing demands of creativity, flexibility, sustainability and economics.

Built into the Steligence^® approach is a broad range of steel products for construction which individually add value, but together represent a compelling portfolio with a range of defined benefits. Steligence^® translates into a brochure, a website, a video, a white paper, a visual presentation as well as a virtual reality application that attendees will be able to try out during the event.

Steligence^® teams welcomed architects, designers and engineers at Rai Amsterdam, where several products were put in the spotlight with samples:

• Granite^® Silky Shine, a pre-painted steel for facade systems with a high-gloss luxurious skin, produced by ArcelorMittal Europe – Flat Products
• ArcelorMittal Europe – Long Products’ Angelina^®, a new generation of castellated beams for sustainable structures
• Promistyl^®and Promisol^®architectural panels as well as Mascaret^® and Chaotic^®profiles, all produced by ArcelorMittal Construction
