Quarto plates

Our Quarto plates are also used to produce the jackets and pin piles that keep offshore turbines stable on the sea floor in several of the pioneering floating wind projects worldwide. They are also extensively used in topsides of multiple field-proven electrical substations which allow to stabilise the voltage of power generated offshore so that it can be transported to the onshore grid.

Jacket foundations 

A jacket foundation is a complex structure that requires high quality steel and know how. ArcelorMittal Projects offers various applications and a wide range of quality steels for jacket foundations:

  • Large diameter welded pipes (LSAW)
  • Heavy plates
  • Transition pieces: tubulars, plates, beams and merchant bars
  • J-tubes: seamless and welded pipes and bends
  • Boat landing: seamless pipes 

Pre-fabrication services offered:

  • Point-to-point solutions for steel tubulars including cutting to length, tube end profiling and welding to subassemblies
  • Profile and tube bending for J-tubes and floating wind applications
