From November 3 to 6, ArcelorMittal Europe – Flat Products and Distribution Solutions SSC West Europe were jointly present at the Blechexpo trade fair in Stuttgart (Germany). This edition achieved record-breaking numbers of 1,234 exhibitors and 38,136 visitors. ArcelorMittal 2-storey stand affluence was well beyond expectations, and its design as a platform for dialogues and meetings proved to be particularly adapted to the situation.
Steel, the engine of life
All relevant European steel suppliers as well as an important number of large customers from automotive and metalworking industry attended the fair, placed under the theme: "Steel, the engine of life". It was for ArcelorMittal the opportunity to network, meet our biggest customers and prospects.
A large number of visitors joined the ArcelorMittal stand, which was the only one in the hall with 2 levels, making it very unique and outstanding. The video “I am steel”, on display on the TV screens, received positive feedback.
Innovations and customer proximity
The exchanges, with companies representing the entire sheet metal processing and joining technologies, dealt with our innovative products such as Optigal™, Magnelis® and the newly introduced Estetic® Casa, a selection of four prepainted solutions with the gloss, surface aspects and modern finishes appliance makers are looking for today.
Beyond these innovations, the stand was also the place to discuss customer proximity, special short lead times, logistical concepts, international availability and reliability in supply. These services, supported by a network of 21 service and distribution centres in Germany allow ArcelorMittal to fully address the business challenges of metal processing companies.
An edition above the expectations
The numbers of exhibitors and visitors exceeded all expectations compared to last year’s edition:
The double trade fair Blechexpo and Schweisstec – taking place in a two-year cycle – took place in Stuttgart from 3 to 6 November 2015.
It is the only event worldwide that deals with the complementary technologies of sheet metal processing and joining technology.
The stated aim of the trade fair group is to represent the entire process chain of cold forming sheet metal processing and the associated thermal or mechanical cutting, joining and connecting technology.
