ArcelorMittal Tubular Products Roman mill has successfully passed the Slow Strain Rate Test (SSRT) for hydrogen-ready certification provided by Bureau Veritas. This significant achievement shows that the seamless steel pipes produced in Roman are suitable for use in natural gas mixtures, with hydrogen percentages up to 100% pure hydrogen at a pressure of 45 bar (Scope 2).
The rigorous testing process covered both grades B/X42 and X52 acc. to API5L (L245NE/L290NE L360NE/L360NE as per ISO3183), with full conformity achieved for both grades. This certification signifies the product's high performance and safety standards in demanding conditions, aligning with the latest industry requirements for hydrogen readiness.
