On October 4 2017, the teams of ArcelorMittal Europe – Flat Products, ArcelorMittal Europe – Long Products and Downstream Solutions all joined Steel.in 2017, organised in Paris. They were among the 450 guests who gathered for the award ceremony of the Trophées Eiffel, an even awarding architectural works realised thanks to steel.
The Trophées Eiffel awards aim to promote steel architecture and its designers, architects and engineers. They also have the ambition to emphasise the know-how of steel and metalworking companies and all the qualities of steel.
ArcelorMittal participated along with other companies and professionals of the steel sector, architects, project owners, design offices and architecture and design students. Steel. In is a good opportunity for our company to network with architects and promote the use of steel for construction as we had a stand at the event promoting Flat Products' steel envelope.
For Downstream Solutions, Steel. In was the opportunity to promote their products and the finishing centre located in Yutz, specialised in civil engineering steel structures. ArcelorMittal Europe – Flat Products presented Granite® Silky Shine and Granite® Silky Mat, two pre-painted steels for façade systems. Granite® Silky Shine has a high-gloss luxurious skin that enhances the visibility and impact value of buildings, it is a product particularly appreciated by architects, especially in its gold colour. Granite® Silky Mat offers a distinctive range of textures in a variety of metallic and mat colours which give a refined appearance to buildings. ArcelorMittal Europe – Long Products promoted its high added value products, such as the Angelina® cellular beams, the Arcorox® weathering grade and the Jumbos range, complementary to Long Products' Eurostructures Beam Finishing Centre.
Gathering several ArcelorMittal entities in one event allowed us to highlight the whole company's activity. Moreover, it was the occasion to meet and exchange with colleagues, customers, suppliers, sub-contractors and partners in a beautiful location in the heart of Paris.
Organised by ConstruirAcier, the Trophées Eiffel awards architects' architectural works, realised in whole or in part thanks to steel. Every year, a jury composed of architects, engineers and journalists, specialised in architecture and steel industry, meets in September to study all the applications and award the prizes.
