Wiederholt, a leading producer of precision steel tubes, and Europe's largest steel producer ArcelorMittal have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to use CO2-reduced steel in production.
ArcelorMittal Europe – Long Products has made the first delivery of XCarb® recycled and renewably produced beams to customer SPAETER Oberhausen in Germany. It marks an important step for both companies on their journey towards net zero. The two companies announced a low-carbon emissions supply partnership at the Wire Fair in Dusseldorf, in April 2024. #XCarb #steelbeams #SPAETERGruppe #SPAETER
Standing shoulder-to-shoulder towards carbon neutrality: ArcelorMittal Europe - Flat Products and Knauf Interfer are jointly driving forward the sustainability goals set and have an agreement for ArcelorMittal to supply Knauf Interfer with CO2-reduced steel, which saves more than two thirds of CO2 emissions in production. Knauf Interfer, in turn, can pass these CO2 savings on to its customers.
The European Space Agency recently launched the first Ariane 6 rocket into Earth orbit in front of the world’s cameras. ArcelorMittal Rails & Special Sections participated in this major project by producing exceptional quality overhead crane rails, allowing the building around the rocket to move to propel it into space. #cranerails #steelforscience #Ariane6 #space
Our latest, impressive record is two new super wide flange shapes up to 1488kg/m (1000 lbs/ft), in XCarb® recycled and renewably produced. This great achievement comes from ArcelorMittal’s Differdange plant, where it was made possible by a specific device installed at the end of the rolling line there – the Quenched and Self Tempering process (QST) – which allows the production of thick Jumbo sections in high strength steel.
From robust, CO2-reduced support structures for solar roofs to complete turnkey systems: ArcelorMittal will be presenting its wide range of products to trade visitors at Intersolar, the world's leading trade fair for the solar industry, from 19 to 21 June in Munich.
