On 24 October, ArcelorMittal Europe – Long Products Bars & rods participated in a TechDay organised by the Lightweight Forging Initiative, a cooperation of companies from the steel and forging industries, and ZF Friedrichshafen AG, a German car parts maker.
ArcelorMittal Europe – Long Products Bars & rods took part in the event organised at ZF Friedrichshafen AG’s headquarters in Germany and presented our product portfolio and our latest developments from R&D. This TechDay was also the opportunity to:
The teams were present at Friedrichshafen with a booth promoting our innovations. Our researchers – Bruno Cofino, Véronique Smanio and François-Xavier Hoche from ArcelorMittal Global R&D – were able to network with ZF’s experts and discuss our solutions (steels for transmission, other bainitic steels, steels for fasteners). Dr. Cofino also gave a presentation on lightweight solutions for steering knuckle.
